KIJAEFA (Kikundi cha Jali Afya Yako, Epuka Maambukizi Mapya, Fuata Ushauri na Nasaha) is an active community program that builds hope, love, and dignity among communities at risk and those affected by HIV.
Our name encapsulates our philosophy: care for your health, avoid new infections, and follow counseling. We believe that everyone living with HIV deserves respect, access to information, peer support, and the ability to live without fear and discrimination.
Our core values are Love, Confidentiality, Respect, and Community Collaboration.
How We Began
KIJAEFA was founded to create a sustainable local community network that empowers vulnerable groups in the Kilimanjaro Region.
Over the years, our group grew steadily. With the support of TPC Parents Against AIDS (TPAA), we expanded our programs to include health education, counseling, and youth empowerment.
Today, KIJAEFA stands as one of the most active community health support groups in the Kilimanjaro region — a beacon of hope and resilience.

HIV Awareness Campaigns
Educating the community on prevention methods to reduce the rate of new infections in our communities.
Counseling & Testing
Providing a safe and confidential environment for counseling and voluntary health testing.
Community Education
Organizing seminars and workshops that promote positive behavioral change and reduce stigma.
Youth Programs
Engaging youth in conferences and peer education to empower them to protect themselves and make informed health decisions.
Community Outreach
Extending our services deep into rural areas, ensuring that life-saving information and resources reach those who need it most.
Advocacy & Rights
Advocating for the rights of people living with HIV to access healthcare, education, and freedom from discrimination.
Under TPC Parents Against AIDS (TPAA)
We were established under the umbrella of TPC Parents Against AIDS (TPAA) to expand the reach of health education and grassroots support.
Through TPAA's support, KIJAEFA reaches rural areas with essential resources, enabling communities to prevent new infections and live with dignity.
